Alright, so that wasn't a date. But...

It really wasn't a date! It was a so 'hey, I couldn't have planned that any better' drink thing. New crush and other male coworker were on their way out of work tonight while I was still working and casually asked, 'are you guys grabbing a beer?' and they said YES.

I cooly said, 'Well here's my cell, let me know if you go anywhere else besides the bar around the corner.' I met them about twenty minutes later and after one round, the coworkers girlfriend showed up. She's been trying to meet new girlfriends recently so we had lots to talk about and she invited me out friday night. Win to a hard rock cafe book release party!

Soon, right around when new crush and me had refilled our beer, they went to go walk their dog and they were gone. Euphemism not included.

And then, it was just me and him. Going beer for beer, on a Tuesday no less.
We talked about favorite books and music. And favorite movies. And what it meant to have a fav movie. And the idea of a vacation road trip came up, with me and him driving to the west coast. Specific dates were even mentioned by him. I kept it light.

I wanted to grab him and tell him I could never be his platonic co pilot but I went with it. We kept on drinking until we realized Wednesday morning would be starting soon.

He kept on questioning whether I'd be ok walking home and I shrugged him off. I wanted to pull him close and kiss him deep. But didn't. I left it as is. Our first night kind of alone, talking to each other. Who knows what will happen tomorrow?
Nothing, something. A promise for more, a clue for less. For now, I'm really just happy with tonight.

  2. Those spotaneous fantastic nights are the best! You didn't have to put all of the planning and what to wear into it and yet got the goods anyway ;) He sounds quite interested as well. Whether as a friend or more that shall come. Something tells me not though. Have you ever heard of 'ladder theory'? Google it ;)
